Neat! I find regional term/pronunciation differences really fascinating.

It never fails to amaze me how many different ways people have for referring to the same thing (and just in English). I mean, there are SO MANY words for "carbonated beverage." (I call it a soda, for the record.)

It is quite interesting. That's why this particular meme appealed to me. (c:

As I went through each word, I was also, in my head, trying to figure out other pronunciations for them, applying different accents until I managed to find how a word could sound different. Some of the words I'm still not sure how they would be pronounced differently (though I'm sure if I hear it I'll smack my forehead and think oh, of course).

mm, I guess some of these alternate pronunciations might not be as.. *cough* pronounced .. as I seem to be looking for.

Actually, having gone over the list again, after writing my first reply, I managed to find at least subtly different pronunciations of each one. At the very least, I can just try sounding the vowels differently and then just assume that someone, somewhere, probably pronounces them like that, even if I've never heard it. (c:

Initially, I was trying to find pronunciation differences for: oil, iron (Now I can hear that becoming something like "ahhn", or "arrn"), both.
